Acronis Japan and Axis Communications appoint new leadership

Acronis Japan has appointed Hisao Toyama as its new Representative Director and President, effective September 15, 2026. Toyama, who joined Acronis in June 2025 as Senior Director, previously held leadership roles at Workday and Cisco Systems. His focus will be on strengthening the partner ecosystem and driving business growth in the Japanese market by integrating data protection and cybersecurity solutions.

Separately, Axis Communications has named Jason Chiu as the Japan Regional Director, effective September 14, 2026. Chiu brings over 20 years of experience in the security industry, having previously served as a Professional Services/Area Technical Manager for Axis Communications Inc. in Canada. He will oversee business operations in Japan, focusing on strategic planning and relationship building with customers and partners across sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, and public safety.
