Acropolis Festival in Nafplio opens third edition

The Municipality of Nafplio is hosting the third Acropolis Festival from 26 August to 6 September. Under the artistic direction of Thodori Goni, the event showcases a diverse programme of artists, musicians, actors, writers and young creators.

Participating institutions include the University of Peloponnese and the Music School of Argolis. Performances and installations are staged at venues such as Irian beach, the Ethnosynedri Square, the Acropolis Theatre, the Bourgi and the Russian neighbourhood. The festival poster was digitally painted by illustrator Dimitris Chantzopoulos. Organisers describe the festival as a platform where contemporary art engages with local memory, tradition and the historic identity of Nafplio.
