Acta Marine christens Acta Hercules offshore wind support vessel

Acta Marine has formally christened the Acta Hercules, the second vessel in its four-vessel newbuild Commissioning Service Operation Vessel (CSOV) programme. The ceremony took place in IJmuiden, with Mrs. Marina van Oord serving as the vessel's godmother.

Designed to support the offshore wind and energy sectors, the Acta Hercules features a hybrid propulsion system utilizing dual-fuel engines capable of running on methanol and marine gas oil (MGO). The vessel is built based on Ulstein’s twin stern hull design, which is intended to reduce pitching and enhance operability in challenging weather conditions. It can accommodate up to 135 personnel.

The vessel is currently deployed under a long-term charter to support offshore wind operations for Vestas.
