Acti launches AI-powered keyboard that enables multi‑app actions

Singapore‑based startup Acti has released an AI‑enabled keyboard for iOS and Android that turns any text field into a command layer for other apps. The keyboard, dubbed the “world’s first Agentic Keyboard,” lets users invoke multi‑app workflows and custom shortcuts – called Skills – with plain‑language descriptions. It integrates with services such as Notion, Google Workspace, LinkedIn and can fetch live sports scores or nearby restaurant suggestions without leaving the current conversation.

Acti’s technology runs on Google’s Gemini models, chosen for speed, multilingual performance and cost efficiency. The app follows a local‑first privacy model, keeping personal context on the device unless a feature is explicitly invoked. Founder and CEO Young Wang, who previously grew Baidu’s Facemoji Keyboard to over 300 million daily users, said, “Today’s AI agents are fundamentally limited because user context stays fragmented across separate apps,” and added, “That is the foundation the entire AI‑agent era will be built on.”

The Android version has surpassed 100,000 downloads and holds a 4.0 rating; the iPhone version also shows a 4.0 rating from a small user base. Acti plans to monetize through subscription tiers that unlock advanced models and higher usage limits.
