Acting Army Secretary Adam Telle visits Anniston Army Depot
Acting U.S. Army Secretary Adam Telle toured the Anniston Army Depot on Monday alongside U.S. Representative Mike Rogers, Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee. The visit highlighted the facility's role as a critical maintenance center and munitions storage site for national defense.
Telle described the depot as a cornerstone of the Army’s industrial base, noting that employees sustain soldiers by modernizing and maintaining military vehicles and equipment. He linked the depot's work to the “Arsenal of Freedom” initiative, emphasizing that American industrial capacity is the foundation of military readiness.
Representative Rogers praised the installation for its support of American service members and its importance to the East Alabama community. Telle referred to the depot workforce as the “Pit crew of the American warfighter” and credited the House Armed Services Committee for supporting the defense industrial base through infrastructure and modernization resources.
