Action expands retail presence in Romania with new stores

The Dutch discount retailer Action is expanding its presence in Romania. Following the opening of 26 stores across various cities since February 2025, the company is preparing to launch new locations in Fălticeni, Sibiu, and Afumaţi.

A new store in Fălticeni opened on September 24, offering a range of 6,000 products across 14 categories, with approximately 500 items priced under 5 lei. The retailer introduces 150 new products weekly.

As part of this expansion, Action is actively recruiting for management positions. In Fălticeni, assistant manager roles offer net monthly salaries between 4,000 and 4,300 lei, while similar roles in Afumaţi and Sibiu offer slightly higher ranges between 4,300 and 4,600 lei. The company emphasizes sustainability initiatives, including the use of LED lighting, FSC or PEFC certified wood, and Fairtrade cocoa.
