Action Peoples Party wins councillorship election in Yobe State

The Action Peoples Party (APP) has secured a victory in the Gudugurka Ward councillorship election within the Fune Local Government Area of Yobe State. Candidate Ibrahim Ummar defeated the All Progressives Congress (APC) challenger to win the seat.

Hon. Ikenga Ugochinyere, an APP chieftain, described the win as a significant milestone for the party, suggesting it demonstrates the APP’s ability to expand its influence into regions outside its traditional political strongholds. Ugochinyere characterized the victory as evidence of the party’s growing grassroots acceptance across Nigeria.
