Activision Blizzard faces lawsuit over sexual harassment allegations

A former Activision Blizzard employee has filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court alleging a pervasive ‘frat boy’ workplace culture characterized by sexual harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.

The plaintiff, identified by the pseudonym Jane Doe, worked in the company’s sound department for 14 years starting in 2009. The lawsuit accuses ten men of various forms of misconduct, including inappropriate comments, unwanted touching, and physical assault. Specific allegations include an incident between 2011 and 2012 where a colleague allegedly threatened the plaintiff with physical violence and attempted rape, as well as claims that an audio director retaliated against her after she rejected his advances.

Activision Blizzard issued a statement asserting that the company takes such allegations seriously and maintains policies designed to prevent harassment and hold employees accountable.
