Activision patches security vulnerabilities in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for PC

Activision has released a security update for the PC version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to address known vulnerabilities. The patch specifically targets Remote Code Execution (RCE) exploits, which could allow malicious actors to execute code on a player's computer by exploiting peer-to-peer networking features used in older multiplayer titles.

In a statement to Windows Central, Activision confirmed that the update addressed “all known vulnerabilities in Modern Warfare 2” and noted that the team will continue to support legacy titles with additional updates. The company has encouraged users to report any further issues through its Bug Bounty Portal.
