Call of Duty Black Ops 1 & 2 Ported to PlayStation 4/5 in July

Treyarch announced that the original Call of Duty: Black Ops (2010) and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (2012) will be released on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in July 2026. The ports are being handled by Iron Galaxy Studios and are straight ports of the original games, not remasters or remakes, so no major graphical upgrades or PS5‑specific features are expected.

Both titles will include the full single‑player campaign, the multiplayer mode and the popular Zombies mode. Pricing, bundle options and whether any downloadable‑content will be included have not been disclosed. The move addresses the lack of backward compatibility on PlayStation, as the games have been playable on Xbox consoles through that feature.

Activision confirmed the releases will be limited to PlayStation platforms, with no announcement for Xbox, PC or Nintendo versions at this time.
