Activist network linked to ‘No Kings’ protests targeting AI data centers

A new report titled ‘The Compute War at Home’ alleges that local protests against AI data centers and Flock license-plate cameras are being driven by the same activist network responsible for ‘No Kings’ and ‘Hands Off’ demonstrations.

Commissioned by the free-market nonprofit Consumer Action for a Strong Economy and utilizing social-media analysis from Arken Intelligence, the report claims these protests follow a repeatable three-phase pattern: identifying a local grievance, connecting it to a national ideological argument, and spreading it through allied media and organizing networks.

The report links this organizing to groups connected to Neville Roy Singham, a Shanghai-based tech financier whose nonprofit and media network has faced scrutiny from Congress and federal investigators regarding foreign ties. Singham and his funded organizations have denied acting on behalf of any government or political party and have not been charged with any crimes.

Groups identified in the report include the Party for Socialism and Liberation, CodePink, the People’s Forum, and the ANSWER Coalition, alongside groups such as Indivisible.
