Activists gather on Cres island for regional movement meetings

Activists from various countries are holding meetings on the Croatian island of Cres from September 24 to 28. The stated theme of the gathering is the ‘building of activist movements and networks for the purpose of fighting against regimes‘.

Participants include representatives from Serbia, such as Kristina Urošević from the Kreni-Promeni movement and Vuk Radišić Višnjić from the Green-Left Front. International attendees include members from the Youth Movement of Unia Salva in Romania, the Helsinki Committee in Bulgaria, and various activists from Slovenia, Hungary, and Albania.

Speakers at the event include Shah Chaudhari from Nepal and Vedran Džihić from Austria. The meetings take place ahead of upcoming elections in Serbia, leading to questions regarding the strategic goals of the assembly and its potential influence on Serbian internal political developments.
