Actor Baba Johunomi discloses prostate cancer battle

Veteran Nollywood actor Musiliu Dasofunjo, popularly known as Baba Johunomi, has publicly disclosed his battle with prostate cancer. In a video shared by actor Kunle Afod, the actor urged the public to pay close attention to physical changes and not dismiss unusual symptoms.

Johunomi recounted that his condition began with a change in his urination pattern, specifically a splitting urine stream. He admitted that he initially dismissed these signs as insignificant, noting, “It might not have gotten to this stage if I was aware of the symptoms earlier.”

After experiencing increasing difficulty urinating, he underwent various tests and scans. He was subsequently referred to the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, where specialists recommended a biopsy involving the removal of a tissue sample for further examination. The actor expressed fear regarding the invasive nature of the recommended procedure.
