French actor Christian Mazzuchini died on 25 July 2026 at age 67. He passed away at the Maison de Gardanne, a palliative‑care facility in the Bouches‑du‑Rhône department, after an 18‑month battle with an aggressive form of cancer.

Mazzuchini, born in 1959 and raised in Toulouse, began his career as a dancer before turning to acting in the early 1990s. He settled in Marseille, where he became a familiar face on French screens, appearing in more than 80 television series and films over a 25‑year career. Notable roles include a pilot in the 1998 film Taxi and Bernard Juve in the daily soap Plus belle la vie. He also worked repeatedly on stage with author Serge Valletti.

A few days before his death, the production company Zou Maï Prod posted on Facebook that the actor was in a terminal phase and would soon “go towards the stars.” His family expressed deep sorrow in a message shared online.
