Actor Goran Višnjić Returns to Croatia, Moves to Istria

After three decades living abroad – a long stint in Los Angeles followed by several years in England – Croatian actor Goran Višnjić and his wife Eva Višnjić have decided to return permanently to their homeland. The couple completed the required paperwork and, after a brief visit to the island of Hvar where they attended the farewell of Dr. Tamara Lazić Strugar, chose the Istrian coast as their new residence, citing the region’s mild climate, olive groves, vineyards and proximity to family and long‑time friends. Their move marks the end of a period spent in the United States and the United Kingdom and a new chapter in the Adriatic region.

The Višnjić family, which includes three children, has been preparing for the relocation for some time, dealing with logistical challenges such as lengthy travel routes after the UK’s exit from the EU. They now look forward to a quieter, more natural lifestyle in Istria.
