Actor Gustavo Angarita hospitalized after escopolamine‑driven robbery in Bogotá
Colombian actor Gustavo Angarita was targeted in a robbery at his home in the Galerías neighborhood of Teusaquillo, Bogotá. While he was outside the residence, several intruders entered, drugged him with escopolamine, and remained inside for hours, stealing computers, a cellphone, cash, cards and other personal items. The drug caused Angarita to lose his memory and become confused for several hours.
He received medical treatment at Clínica Palermo, where his condition was reported as stable but still disoriented. Authorities have opened an investigation into the incident, and Angarita has warned his followers to ignore any messages that might be used for scams involving his identity.
