Actor Henryk Gęsikowski, 74, Dies in Szczecin

Renowned Polish actor Henryk Gęsikowski died on 29 July 2026 at the age of 74. A native of Szczecin, he was a fixture of the city’s theatrical scene for more than five decades, performing with the Teatr Współczesny, Teatr Polski and co‑founding the Teatr Krypta. Gęsikowski’s screen credits included "07 zgłoś się", "Ballada o ścinaniu drzewa" and "Taxi A".

The Szczecin branch of the Polish Actors’ Union (ZASP) issued a statement praising his talent, dedication and kindness, noting his 50‑year anniversary of artistic work celebrated the previous year. Colleagues and fans posted condolences on social media, recalling his generosity and the impact of his long career on local culture.
