Actor Henryk Gęsikowski dies during Polish pilgrimage, autopsy pending
Polish actor Henryk Gęsikowski, 74, known for his role in the TV series "07 zgłoś się" and long‑time collaborator with Teatr Polski in Szczecin, was found dead shortly before the start of the Góralska Pilgrimage to Jasna Góra. He had arrived in Czerwien a week earlier and was staying at the pilgrim house awaiting the walk that was to begin on 22 July. Witnesses noticed his shoes left on a balcony, prompting a check that revealed his body.
Police investigations have so far found no evidence of third‑party involvement, and the cause of death will be determined after a forensic autopsy. The theater announced his passing and expressed condolences, while authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
