Jang Dong Yoon graduates from Hanyang University after 15 years

South Korean actor Jang Dong Yoon has officially graduated from Hanyang University after a 15-year academic journey. The 34-year-old actor, who enrolled in the Department of Economics and Finance in 2011, shared his graduation news on social media on August 20, 2026, by posting a screenshot of his updated academic status.

The graduation ceremony for the 2025 academic year was held at the university's Seoul campus. In anticipation of the event, banners celebrating his long-awaited milestone were displayed across the campus.

Jang first gained public attention in 2015 when he heroically helped police apprehend an armed robber at a convenience store in Gwanak-gu, Seoul. This incident led to his entry into the entertainment industry in 2016. His career has since included roles in notable projects such as ‘Mr. Sunshine’ and ‘The Tale of Nokdu’. His delayed graduation was attributed to the demands of his professional acting career.
