Berlin-based Regionalliga football club VSG Altglienicke has announced the signing of actor Kida Khodr Ramadan as a striker. Ramadan, 49, is widely recognized for his award-winning role in the series ‘4 Blocks’.

While the move is viewed by many as a marketing strategy, club sporting director Torsten Mattuschka stated that Ramadan will provide experience, presence, and goal-scoring potential to the team. Mattuschka noted that the actor's physical strength and ability to play both centrally and on the wings would make him a challenge for defenders in the league.

Ramadan has previously been seen at the club's events, including jersey shoots and DFB-Pokal matches, suggesting a pre-existing connection to the organization.
