Actor Kim Min's lifestyle authenticity defended by local resident

A local resident has stepped forward to debunk allegations that actor Kim Min’s lifestyle on the MBC variety show ‘I Live Alone’ was staged. Following the broadcast, which showed Kim living in a 90-year-old house in Dongducheon and using a generator for power, online critics raised suspicions of production manipulation based on street view images and technical inconsistencies.

A resident of Dongducheon, who identified themselves as a local business owner, commented that Kim is a long-time resident of the area and that the conditions shown on screen are authentic. The resident noted that while the yard was slightly tidied for filming, Kim does indeed reside in the property and has been maintaining his late father’s motorcycle.

In a humorous turn, the resident also shared a personal anecdote, jokingly accusing the actor of slacking off when he was younger while working alongside his father. MBC production staff previously issued a statement denying all claims of staging, asserting that the residence is Kim’s actual living space and no artificial scenarios were created.
