Actor KJ Apa admits urinating on a McDonald's meal during quarantine

Actor KJ Apa, best known for playing Archie Andrews on the CW series Riverdale, told the Wildmen podcast that while quarantining in Vancouver he ordered a large McDonald’s takeout and, in an attempt to curb his compulsive eating, poured urine over the food and threw it on the floor. He said he then ate only the portions that were not soaked, describing the episode as a “beast mode” moment driven by his struggle with food addiction and his recent sobriety.

Apa recounted that the incident occurred after he had been confined to his apartment for weeks during COVID‑19 lockdowns and was trying to lose weight for an upcoming shoot. He reflected on his past binge‑eating habits, describing the regret he felt after the episode and emphasizing his ongoing effort to manage his relationship with food.
