Actor Lin Lin apologizes for significant delay on TBS variety show

Actor Lin Lin, known for his role in the TBS Sunday Theater drama ‘VIVANT’, issued a public apology following a significant delay during a live broadcast of the variety program ‘Love It!’. Due to oversleeping, Lin arrived at the studio approximately one hour and 48 minutes late, appearing just seven minutes before the program concluded.

During the broadcast, Lin offered multiple apologies, including performing a formal kowtow (dogeza) to the hosts and staff. The incident was addressed in a follow-up program, ‘Yoake no Love It!’, where hosts and fellow cast members teased him about the mishap. Lin explained that he had been working late on projects and had set an alarm for 4:30 AM but did not wake up until 7:00 AM.

Lin later addressed the incident on Instagram, using a persona inspired by his character, Zhou Haoran, to express both his regret and his gratitude for the audience's reaction. He expressed a desire to use the mistake as a lesson for others and confirmed his intention to return to the show for a revenge appearance on August 26th.
