Actor Mark Mortimer dies at 59 after cancer battle

Actor Mark Mortimer, known for his role as Nick Hudson on the daytime soap opera ‘Another World’, has died at the age of 59. He passed away on September 23, 2026, following a battle with cancer.

Mortimer joined ‘Another World’ in 1996 and appeared in 81 episodes until the series concluded in 1999. Beyond his acting career, which included roles in ‘Spin City’ and ‘The Nowhere Man’, he was a U.S. Army veteran, a model, and an entrepreneur. He co-founded the construction company Inside Out Construction with his wife of 25 years, Christie.

Following his cancer diagnosis in 2024, Mortimer and his wife established the Integrative Access Foundation. The organization aims to provide individuals with access to integrative cancer therapies that may otherwise be cost-prohibitive.
