Nicolás Cabré mourns brother Duilio Cabré after his death

Argentine actor Nicolás Cabré announced on Instagram that his older brother Duilio Cabré died at age 47. Duilio, a taxi driver who kept a low profile and avoided media attention, was remembered by Nicolás in a heartfelt post that began, “Duilito, me parece increíble estar escribiendo esto…”. The actor thanked his brother for the 46 years they shared, expressed his sorrow and love, and wrote, “Te amo y nunca jamás te voy a olvidar.”

Following the news, the production of Cabré’s play Ni media palabra suspended its scheduled performance and halted the cast’s promotional tour in Uruguay. The loss adds to a series of personal tragedies for the actor, who a year earlier had also announced the death of his mother, Cristina Birckenstaedt. Duilio’s father, the late Norberto Cabré, had also worked as a taxi driver, a profession Duilio continued.
