Actor Rainn Wilson blasts bipartisan hypocrisy over Maine Senate candidate’s Nazi tattoo

Former "The Office" star Rainn Wilson told Fox News that both Republicans and Democrats display double standards, pointing to the controversy surrounding Maine Democratic Senate hopeful Graham Platner’s former Nazi‑symbol tattoo. Wilson said, "The political right is all up in arms about that ‘Oh, he’s a racist, see,’" and added that the left similarly overlooks comparable misconduct.

He also argued that today’s cancel‑culture climate would make a sitcom like "The Office" impossible to produce, stating, "I do feel like you couldn't make The Office today," because the show's politically incorrect humor would no longer be socially acceptable. Wilson used Platner’s tattoo scandal as a prime example of the partisan hypocrisy he believes fuels America’s political division.
