Actor Simon Schwarz discusses late ADHD diagnosis

Actor Simon Schwarz, known for the ‘Eberhofer’ crime series, has shared details regarding his late diagnosis of ADHD. Schwarz, who received the diagnosis after the age of 50, described the condition as a “handicap” and stated, “I personally would call it a disability.”

Speaking on the podcast ‘Hörbar Rust’, the Austrian-born actor discussed how the disorder impacted his life, leading to psychosomatic illnesses and struggles with depression. He noted that his school years were particularly challenging, resulting in him not completing his education. Schwarz explained that the condition often led to emotional volatility and a heightened sense of injustice due to feeling unfairly treated throughout his life.
