Actor Tùng Mint returns to film after near-paralyzing accident

Vietnamese actor Tùng Mint is returning to the big screen in the action-psychological film ‘Trại Buôn Người’ (Human Trafficking Camp), directed by Toni Dương Bảo Anh. To prepare for his role as an undercover police officer identified as code number 198, the actor lost 14kg in just over a month.

His return follows a severe filming accident where he was nearly paralyzed after being struck by a pickup truck on set. The accident resulted in fractures to his S1, S2, and S3 vertebrae, as well as his pelvis. Doctors initially required him to remain completely immobile for at least two months, narrowly avoiding permanent spinal cord damage.
