Actor Tsurutaro Katōka Wins Men's Beauty Lifestyle Award in Tokyo

Actor and painter Tsurutaro Katōka attended the 6th Men’s Beauty Awards ceremony in Tokyo, where he was honored with the Beauty Lifestyle award. During his acceptance speech he highlighted his unconventional daily routine – waking at 11 p.m., practising yoga and meditation until the early morning, and eating breakfast after a 5:30 a.m. workout. Katōka joked that his height (190 cm) left him looking up at the microphone set for the much shorter model‑talent JOY, eliciting laughter from the audience.

He emphasized that his health regimen is personal and not recommended for others, stressing that true beauty comes from inner change rather than external appearance. The event also recognised other male figures in sports and entertainment with various category awards.
