Actors Giorgos Kimoulis and Dimitris Gotsopoulos discuss art and integrity

In a joint interview regarding their collaboration in the theatrical production ‘Red’ by John Logan, actors Giorgos Kimoulis and Dimitris Gotsopoulos discussed the relationship between art and money, as well as the challenges facing younger generations of performers.

Kimoulis emphasized the importance of maintaining a personal code of ethics to resist temptation, noting that emotional exhaustion is a greater threat to consistency than external pressures. He described himself as a ‘tough animal’ who has resisted compromising his principles despite the fatigue that comes with a long career.

Gotsopoulos offered a more somber perspective on his own generation, characterizing it as a ‘defeated generation’ that struggles to maintain long-term dreams due to constant temptations and challenges.
