Actors Hayato Isomura and Seiya Suezawa attend Kaohsiung Film Festival

Japanese actors Hayato Isomura and Seiya Suezawa, along with director Keisuke Yoshida, attended the 26th Kaohsiung Film Festival in Taiwan for the premiere of the film ‘mentor’. The event included a press conference, a screening, and a Q&A session with local fans.

During the press conference, Isomura discussed his year-long intensive archery training to portray his character’s dedication and physical presence. Suezawa shared anecdotes about practicing ‘dogeza’ (kneeling apologies) for his role, noting that his intense practice often caused co-stars Hayato Isomura and Go Ayano to break character and laugh during filming.

Director Yoshida explained that the film explores themes of reflection and the nature of mentorship, utilizing elements of dark comedy to depict human nature. The cast members expressed their gratitude to the Taiwanese audience, with Isomura greeting the crowd in local Mandarin.
