Actors Huang Hsuan and Chang Yen-ming share filming mishap

During the filming of the TTV drama ‘Treasure Island Salami: Guardian’, actors Huang Hsuan and Chang Yen-ming experienced a comedic mishap during a high-stakes emotional scene. In the storyline, Huang’s character suffers a sudden angina attack following an emotional reunion with her daughter.

While attempting a ‘heroic rescue’ by carrying the unconscious character, Chang Yen-ming struggled with the physical execution. Huang reported that the carry was awkward, noting that her head felt dangerously close to the ground and that Chang accidentally supported her neck as if she were an infant, forcing her to use her own neck muscles to stay upright. The director had to halt filming to prevent injury.

Chang attributed the difficulty to his habit of carrying infants, which led to the incorrect neck support technique, and joked that his physical training had focused more on his upper body than his legs. Following the incident, Chang reportedly practiced the lift at home to improve his technique.
