Actors Kim Yun-seok and Koo Kyo-hwan attend 'Heavy Snow' production briefing

At a production briefing for the mystery drama 'Heavy Snow' held in Seoul, actor Kim Yun-seok and director Hong Eui-jung discussed the upcoming film. The story follows a station master nearing retirement, played by Kim Yun-seok, and a new employee, played by Koo Kyo-hwan, who discover a mysterious body at a rural train station isolated by heavy snow.

Kim Yun-seok shared his personal connection to his character, noting how he empathizes with the transition into a new stage of life. He mentioned observing friends who, upon retirement, embrace new identities through changes in appearance or lifestyle.

Director Hong Eui-jung described the pairing of Kim and Koo as a combination of a “genius and a weirdo,” praising Kim’s deep knowledge of film history and Koo’s unique, instinctive acting style. The film is scheduled for release on November 18.
