Actors utilize intense physical and vocal methods for upcoming roles

Actors are employing diverse and intense methods to prepare for upcoming roles, ranging from extreme physical changes to vocal mimicry.

Robert Pattinson shared his unconventional preparation for the A24 film ‘Primetime’, in which he portrays journalist Chris Hansen. To master Hansen’s distinctive vocal cadence, Pattinson studied the host’s podcast, “Have a Seat with Chris Hansen”, while walking through city streets reciting the dark true crime material aloud. Pattinson noted that the process was “incredibly difficult” and often left onlookers confused.

In India, several actors have undergone significant physical transformations for their characters. Rohit Saraf utilized an intense fitness regime to prepare for the series ‘The Revolutionaries’, while Rajkummar Rao avoided steroids to build a muscular physique for ‘Badhaai Do’. Vikrant Massey focused on a weathered, lean appearance for ‘12th Fail’, and Lakshya trained for 18 years to achieve an agile physique for the film ‘Kill’. Additionally, Siddhant Chaturvedi underwent weight fluctuations to portray a revenge-driven character in ‘Yudhra’.
