Del Barrio Producciones assistant dismissed amid sexual harassment allegations

Erick García Vilca, a former assistant director at Del Barrio Producciones, has been accused of sexual harassment by actress Patricia Villarreal following an irregular casting session. Villarreal reported that the encounter, which she believed was a professional opportunity, involved uncomfortable requests for her to pose in a bikini and other intimate clothing.

Security footage from the encounter was released, showing the interaction. In response to the allegations, Michelle Alexander, CEO of Del Barrio Producciones, announced that García Vilca had been immediately dismissed from the company. Alexander stated that the firm maintains a ‘zero tolerance’ policy regarding abuse and harassment, emphasizing that the accused was an assistant director rather than a director, despite his social media claims.

García Vilca has denied any inappropriate conduct, asserting that the meeting was for an independent short film project and was not affiliated with Del Barrio Producciones. He claimed that while he performed a photo session as requested, ‘nothing else happened’ and that his dignity has been affected by the accusations.
