Actress Divya Dutta celebrates birthday

Indian actress Divya Dutta celebrates her birthday on September 25. Born in Ludhiana, Punjab, in 1977, Dutta comes from a family of doctors; her mother, Dr. Nalini Dutta, was a government official and physician who raised her and her brother after her father passed away during her childhood.

Dutta began her film career in 1994 with ‘Ishq Mein Jeena Ishq Mein Marna’. Over a career spanning more than three decades and over 60 films, she has worked across Hindi, Punjabi, Malayalam, and English cinema. Her notable filmography includes ‘Veer-Zaara’, ‘Baghban’, ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, ‘Delhi-6’, and ‘Badlapur’. She received the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in ‘Irada’.

In addition to acting, Dutta is an author who has written ‘Me and Maa’, dedicated to her late mother, and ‘The Stars in My Sky’.
