Actress Jadranka Matković discusses life in care home after apartment loss

Actress Jadranka Matković, 75, has shared details regarding her current living situation and financial struggles. After a prolific career in Yugoslavian cinema, Matković has spent the last five years residing in the Medvešćak home for the elderly and infirm in Zagreb.

Matković explained that her move to the care facility followed the loss of her apartment on Zvonimirova Street, where she had lived for two decades. She stated that the property had been nationalized, and following lengthy legal proceedings, she was evicted. She noted that being without her own home made her eligible for a care facility sooner, as waiting lists for those with property can last up to 15 years.
