Hwang Jung-min embroiled in legal dispute over stalking allegations

A legal and public dispute continues between actor Hwang Jung-min and a woman, referred to as A, regarding allegations of a private relationship and stalking. A has released additional call recordings to support her claim that their relationship was more than a simple fan-actor dynamic, citing comments from Hwang where he allegedly described their connection as “completely different from fans.”

In response to criticisms from actor Han Jung-soo, who suggested that celebrities are often unfairly targeted, A countered by stating that consumers who pay for advertisements are the ones being taken advantage of.

While Hwang’s agency, Sam Company, maintains that A is a stalker who has been subject to a summary order for a 3 million won fine and court-ordered restraining measures, A has appealed the ruling and requested a formal trial. Additionally, A has filed a lawsuit seeking 200 million won in damages against Hwang.
