Actress Kaylee Hottle Buried in Texas After Fatal Maryland Car Crash
Kaylee Hottle, an 18‑year‑old American actress best known for her role as Jia in the "Godzilla vs. Kong" films, died on 21 July in a car accident in Ijamsville, Maryland. According to the Frederick County sheriff’s office, she was riding in a 1995 Honda Accord driven by a 19‑year‑old when the vehicle left the two‑lane road and struck an obstacle.
On Monday, Hottle was laid to rest in Kyle, Texas. A memorial service was held at the Texas School for the Deaf, the high school she attended, where a closed coffin was draped with a school banner and a smiling photograph of the actress. Family members delivered eulogies before the burial.
Co‑star Millie Bobby Brown, who appeared with Hottle in the "Godzilla" franchise, posted an Instagram story sharing a photo of Hottle and expressing deep sorrow over the loss. Hottle had previously been nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Younger Actor for her performance in the series.
