She explained that she felt pressured to invest due to the social atmosphere, stating that not participating in the market made her feel like a “criminal.”

Lee noted that she entered the market during a period of rapid growth but faced a sharp downturn shortly after. Her comments reflect a broader trend of investors experiencing losses as the KOSPI index fell nearly 40 percent from its recent peak.
