Actress Li Sheng reflects on career and marriage

Actress Li Sheng, known for her role as ‘Little Swallow’ (Tiểu Yến Tử) in the 2011 version of ‘My Fair Princess’ (Tân Hoàn Châu cách cách), has faced significant career challenges despite her youthful and modern appearance. While selected by author Qiong Yao for the role, her performance received criticism for being stiff and for allegedly attempting to imitate previous actress Zhao Wei.

Although she struggled to achieve A-list status and faced comparisons to her predecessors in subsequent projects, Li Sheng has found personal stability. She is married to actor Li Jiahang, who played the role of Erkang in the same series. The couple married in 2015 following a relationship that began after they worked together on the production.
