Actress Lin Wei-chun mourns the passing of her father

Actress Lin Wei-chun has confirmed the passing of her father, Lin Chin-hsiang, who died following a battle with colon cancer. During a recent press conference for the drama ‘Rich Dolls’, Lin became emotional when discussing her loss.

Lin revealed that her father had been living with colon cancer since 2015. Although he was diagnosed with stage three cancer years ago, a recent check-up in May showed the disease had spread to the abdominal cavity. Lin noted that treatment had been delayed by several months due to family matters during the Lunar New Year.

In a social media post, Lin shared that her father had made the decision to opt for palliative care rather than forced emergency resuscitation. She expressed gratitude to the medical staff at Taipei Medical University for their care and stated that his memorial service has concluded. She described him as a brave and decisive individual who fought the illness for 12 years.
