Actress Lucinda Jane Weist Manera aided fugitive tech CEO
Actress Lucinda Jane Weist Manera, known for roles in ‘Blown Away’ and ‘Predator 2,’ has pleaded guilty to one felony count of being an accessory after the fact. Prosecutors are seeking an 18-month prison sentence for the 63-year-old after she helped her boyfriend, Bernhard Eugen Fritsch, flee California to avoid federal court.
Fritsch, the former CEO of Santa Monica-based tech company StarClub Inc., was convicted of wire fraud in April 2025 for a scheme that allegedly defrauded investors of tens of millions of dollars. While awaiting a June sentencing hearing on an $8.2 million bond, Fritsch fled the country.
Court filings reveal that Manera paid $3,500 to an individual to assist in transporting Fritsch to Mexico. She also reportedly purchased burner phones to maintain communication with him while he was a fugitive. Fritsch was eventually apprehended in Mexico but reportedly escaped from Mexican authorities after being taken through Arizona into Sinaloa.
