Actress Maria Gladys addresses rumors at Rio Film Festival

Brazilian actress Maria Gladys, 86, has reappeared in the public eye at the Festival do Rio during the premiere of the film ‘Privadas de suas Vidas’. Her appearance addresses recent rumors regarding her whereabouts.

Gladys clarified in an interview that she has not been missing, dismissing claims that she was lost or disoriented. She described her current lifestyle as living a quiet, reserved life in nature, while also noting her fondness for visiting bars in Rio de Janeiro. Her daughter, Maria Thereza Mello, previously confirmed that the actress is lucid and simply enjoys a bohemian, ‘hippie’ lifestyle.

Despite not having appeared on television since 2016, Gladys expressed a desire to continue working and is waiting for new roles. She also spoke about her granddaughter, British actress Mia Goth, noting that Goth is expected to visit her later this year.
