Actress Mell Muzzillo reports racist and sexual attacks to police

Actress Mell Muzzillo visited the Racial Crimes and Intolerance Crimes Police Station (DECRADI) in Rio de Janeiro to report new instances of racism and sexual harassment. The reports follow a series of aggressive audio messages received via social media.

The attacks reportedly intensified after the actress increased her public sharing of her Afro-Indigenous ancestry, her faith in Candomblé, and her political views. While Muzzillo previously responded to online hostility by publicly confronting offenders, she has now sought formal legal intervention to identify and hold the perpetrators criminally responsible for discrimination and insults.
