Michelle Pfeiffer shifts focus from leading film roles to ensemble casts

Actress Michelle Pfeiffer has expressed a desire to move away from leading film roles, stating a preference for television series and projects featuring ensemble casts. During the "Leading the Narrative: The Women of Apple TV" event, Pfeiffer noted that she no longer wishes to carry the weight of a film production alone.

"I never want to star in another movie, I swear to God. I only want to do ensemble pieces. It is much more fun, I love it," she stated. This shift follows her recent work in television, including roles and executive producing for series such as "Margo’s Got Money Troubles" and "The Madison."

Pfeiffer, 68, has had a prominent 45-year career with iconic roles in films such as "Scarface," "Batman Returns," and "Dangerous Liaisons." While she is shifting her focus toward the complexities of characters found in modern television, she has not announced a total retirement from acting.
