Actress Montserrat Ramírez Investigated for Ties to Fuel Tax‑Evasion Network
Mexican authorities are probing actress Montserrat Ramírez, known for her role in the series Rosario Tijeras, for possible involvement in a fuel‑tax evasion (huachicol fiscal) network. Ramírez, the wife of businessman Iker Andoni G., is under investigation for potential money‑laundering activities linked to the network that illegally imports and sells hydrocarbons without paying taxes.
The network, led by Iker Andoni G., his brother Iñaki G., and sister‑in‑law Natalia B., was dismantled on 30 July after federal raids seized luxury properties and vehicles in the State of Mexico. Authorities are examining Ramírez’s bank accounts to determine whether she helped launder proceeds from the illicit fuel trade. No formal charges or arrest of the actress have been reported.
The investigation is being conducted by the Fiscalía General de la República (FGR) and focuses on organized‑crime offenses, illegal hydrocarbon operations, and the use of companies such as Chayito Homes and ADE Petroleum MX to disguise the illicit proceeds.
