Actress Nana's attempted robber indicted for false accusation

A man in his 30s has been indicted on charges of false accusation following an attempted robbery at the home of actress Nana (Im Jin-ah) in Guri, Gyeonggi Province.

In November last year, the suspect entered Nana's residence with a weapon and demanded money, but was subdued by Nana and her mother. The suspect was previously sentenced to seven years in prison for robbery causing injury. During the investigation, the man filed a retaliatory complaint, falsely claiming that Nana had stabbed him with a weapon found in the house and offered him 40 million won to lie about the origin of the weapon.

Prosecutors determined the claims were false after conducting forensic analysis on the suspect's phone and interviewing individuals held in the police station holding cell, who testified that the man admitted to bringing the weapon himself. The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office officially indicted the man for false accusation on January 16.
