Actress Nao to provide Japanese dubbing for Yeon Sang-ho film ‘Colony’
Japanese actress Nao will make her debut in Japanese dubbing for the upcoming South Korean survival thriller ‘Colony’ (dir. Yeon Sang-ho), scheduled for release in Japan on January 1. Nao will voice the protagonist, biotechnology professor Kwon Se-jeong, originally played by Jun Ji-hyun.
The film is set in a high-rise building under total lockdown due to a mysterious infection outbreak. The story follows survivors fighting against unknown entities that possess the ability to share information and evolve rapidly through collective learning.
Other prominent voice actors for the Japanese dub include Yuki Kaji, who voices the biologist Seo Young-chul, as well as Saori Hayami, Takuya Eguchi, Hiroki Nanami, and Tomokazu Seki. Nao expressed excitement about working on a project by the director of ‘Train to Busan,’ noting that while dubbing presented new challenges, it was a “happy ordeal.”
