Actress Ndèye Thiam detained following theft and drug allegations

Actress Ndèye Thiam, widely known as ‘Nogaye’ from the series ‘Bété Bété’, along with two friends and two men, has been taken into custody by the Thiong gendarmerie following a private party at the Pullman Hotel.

The investigation began after a man, identified as Sidy, filed a complaint regarding the disappearance of a Rolex watch valued at approximately 10 million F CFA. While the three women have denied involvement in the theft, investigators discovered evidence of drug use during the event.

The women admitted to consuming a substance known as ‘ballon’ during the gathering. Consequently, all five individuals have been detained on charges involving theft, possession, and use of narcotics. They are scheduled to appear before the Dakar prosecutor's office to determine the next legal steps.
